Get to Know Professor Joe

Holding a graduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Professor Joe Wojie; as per his role as a collegiate professional, is a regular lecturer on a number of historic, civic oriented; and sometimes macabre topics at such New Jersey institutions as Rider University and CCC; and is currently History Content Area Chairperson at University of Phoenix Philadelphia Area Campuses where he has served as subject matter expert in course development; on Library Committee in an advisory capacity with regard to University holdings, and assists with regular faculty evaluation and mentorship. Professor Wojie additionally facilitates teacher training workshops on behalf of the Center for Civic Leadership and Responsibility (a branch of Camden College) through courses he has developed designed to satisfy Core Curriculum standards 6.3, 6.4, and 6.5 in order to assist certified teachers to remain in compliance with professional development requirements in order to maintain their teaching certification credentials.

 

As current President of the Palmyra Historical Society's Board of Directors Professor Wojie continues to work in a voluntary capacity in the spirit of community betterment through activism, and is a routine speaker on their behalf.

 

In addition to volunteering his time for the past decade to furthering the
historical preservation efforts of the Franklin Institute's Curatorial
Department in Philadelphia; Professor Wojie is a National Endowment for the
Humanities grant recipient and Summer Scholar for 2010, and member of the
Society for Historians of the Early American Republic.
